Just how safe was this train, really?
Orette never really believed in magic. Not even in tarot cards. She’d find them ridiculous, and if she heard someone believe them, she’d lecture them on how stupid it was and move on. She also didn’t believe in that seeing into the future or past crap.
-/|she was in for a surprise.|\-
She looked to her right, at her best friend in the world, Roxas. He was kind of dim-witted, but that didn’t stop Orette from loving him. It pained her heart that today he announced he was going on a trip for about three days. Three days to Orette seemed like three thousand weeks. But she would cope with it even if it killed her.
-/|even if it broke her heart to watch him leave|\-
Roxas sighed. “Gross. I hate bubble gum.” He said, scrapping off some off his shoes. “Crap, these are new!”
Orette giggled. She didn’t say anything, but merely watched as the boy did frantic movements as he scrapped the gum.
He grinned up at her, forgetting about the whole ordeal. “How are you holding up?”
“I’m just peachy!” she said. Odd. She wasn’t feeling very peachy at the moment. She blinked in confusion, and sighed, grinning back at Roxas.
“Well, you shouldn’t be!” Roxas scolded. “I’m leaving! Oh my god, Orette, do you want me to leave?” he pouted.
Orette poked him in the forehead. “Stupid.”
The two both laughed, Roxas picked up his bags and both teens headed for the train.
-/|goodbye, forever.|\-
“Phew. Whadda load.” Roxas sighed, as he dragged the last of the bags to the door of the train.
“You lazy bum, all you did was kick them here!” Orette smiled.
“But, still! What a workout!” Roxas said, as he pretended to flop down on the floor dead.
-/|trains one and two, leaving port. please board now.|\-
Roxas poked the silver train. “Aright… this is goodbye!” he waved as he kicked his bags in.
Orette waved. “Goodbye!”
He clocked around and gave a smile that only lasted two seconds. Then the doors shut closed, and off the train went.
-/|watch, out|\-
…Somewhere, a bolt went loose.
…Somewhere, a piece of wood fell down.
…Somewhere, a wheel churned backwards.
The train shifted off the track and into the road, where it flipped over and a frightened Roxas screamed—
-/|gross. I hate bubble gum.|\-
Orette swirled around towards Roxas, where she found him scrapping bubble gum off his shoes. “Crap! These are new!”
Orette ran to him, but didn’t say anything in response. Instead, she giggled. The train station was quite empty today, with only Roxas, Orette and a few others at bay. The walls were dotted a familiar orange, but streaked with a bright green.
“How are you holding up?” he said grinning.
Almost automatically, she replied. “I’m just peachy!”
“Alright… this is good-bye!” he said, as he hopped into the train, but ran out to kick a bag in.
“..Good-bye!” Orette called out waving, and Roxas gave her a smile that only lasted a second as the doors shut tight.
-/|then she remembered.|\-
“ROXAS!”

“Too bad I had run out of stars — Because I still had more reasons.”
[this is for U— Lat-the-ninja. X3]
The whole area was quiet.
The two teens watched the glowing moon carefully, until one shuffled and began looking at the wind through the tall grass. The boy, draped in black clothing and spunky gravity-defying hair. The girl, a sweet portrait of a sunshine, with a bright neon orange shirt, khaki capris.
“… Olette?” the boy asked, smiling up at the heavens, while pointing up at each star and mumbling to himself.
Olette blinked, looking from him to the stars, then back to him. “Yeah?”
Sora sighed, leaning back and plopping down on the grass. “How many stars do you think there are?” he frowned, still in semi-deep thought.
-/|wait … what?|\-
Olette glanced up at the stars again. She thought it was a silly question to ask. “Uuh… billions?”
Sora sighed in disappointment. “Why aren’t there more?” he wailed. His ultramarine eyes scanned the sky again.
Olette looked at him funny. “..What’s up with you?” she laughed.
Sora grinned. “Well… for each star… I found a reason why I loved you!”
-/|are you kidding?|\-
Olette shook her head. “Nuh-uh. Liar.”
Sora gasped, and poked her. “No way! You don’t believe me?” he pointed to a bright star, up north. “You see that one? That one is for your smile! Because… it lights me up inside!”
Olette watched on as the boy pointed out numerous stars. By the tenth, she was worn out.
“—And that one is for your eyes!” Sora said, as he took a deep breath and pointed to another star.
Olette laughed. A genuine laugh. No one had really made her laugh like that in a while.
Sora smiled. “That’s … yet another reason!” He glanced up again, and frowned.
-/|i seem to have run out of stars.|\-
“It’s too bad… I still had reasons,” Sora nodded solemnly. “Geez. Olette, your worth… about seven billion stars.”
Olette’s eyes widened. “..Oh.. no..”
Sora turned to look at her. “What’s wrong?” he asked.
“… I seem to have run out of stars.” Olette sighed.

They didn’t live happily ever after – but it was still like a fairytale.
I still remember.
The whole island was raining pretty hard, as if the gods above were livid. The sun veiled itself from the disarray, while opera colored clouds roamed high, reaching for ways to submerge the little island in its mighty drops.
And you and I were standing alone out in the slick sand, you looking into my ultramarine eyes, and I in yours. And I even remember the glance you gave to me, that sickening glance of pure horror, as if something dreadful was going to happen at that very moment.
I wasn’t far off from the truth.
-/|it was not meant to be, but it hurt her like it was.|\-
“Naminé ... you’re going... Today? But why didn’t you tell me sooner?”
My eyes rocked back and forth across my perplexed head, searching for a plausible reason. When my search had failed, I gave him my best forged smile and poked him slightly in the arm. “I didn’t want you to worry, silly.”
He, perhaps even more dumbfounded now, replied. “And how… do you think that makes me feel now?”
- /|you’re perfect the way you are.|\ -
Our marine eyes met yet again, this time his filled with panic and sorrow, mine filled with a mix of it all. He jumbled his hair in a matter that I couldn’t see them. He shoved his hands in his pockets and sighed. “Are you coming back..?”
I stopped breathing for a moment. “I... I’m sorry.” I said, looking out as the waves crashed on the sand. I heard footsteps, and saw that he was moving away.
My hand automatically stretched out. “Riku!”
He stopped, and I jagged my arm back. “..Have… a nice time there.” He then swiftly turned back and pulled me into a tight embrace, and I could feel the tears on his cheeks.
-/|we didn’t want it to end this way.|\-
A few tears rushed out, and I wondered why they hadn’t sooner. I was moving away and leaving my best friend here. I thought I was the for the most part a horrible person. But when he held me close…
I felt forgiven.
“Naminé…” he started. “I…”
I looked up, and pouted when I saw him mumbling the words. “Ri… k—?“
He gasped. Not a regular gasp… but a gasp of sorrow. “I love you!”
Thunder boomed. I stood there dumbfounded, as the words processed through my mind.
-/|god knows I love you too.|\-
We stood there for a minute, until one of the sailors on the boat called out, “It’s time to go!”
I ignored the words, and stood there crying. I didn’t want to let go… but he did.
“… Your boat is waiting.” Riku said as he entered the tiny shack near the two.
“Rik—!” I said, but I was being tugged away by a nearby sailor. “I’ll come back! I promise!”

I rubbed my head lightly, knowing my silver locks were in disarray. I got up quickly, but noticed a yellow… thing… lying on the ground. It had brown colored sandals, and chestnut brown hair.
It took me a while to realize it was a girl. Or maybe it wasn’t.
“Hey! Watch were you’re going!” the girl/thing complained. She got up, wiped her dress and glared at me with her jade tinted eyes. “…Who are you?”
I didn’t know the she/thing could talk. In response, I bowed and said my apologies, and walked away.
“Heey! I said, who are you?!” she followed, tugging on my black sweater. I darted my ultramarine eyes at her for a second.
She/thing’s were persistent.
-/|you silly, silly kid.|\-
“Kadaj. Now leave me alone.” I said, sighing and turning around.
Selphie jumped and spined around. “I’m Selphie!”
“I said go-away you she-thing.”
Selphie blinked. Twice. “She-thing…?” she mimicked, confusion plastered on her tone and face. “That’s not how you get a girl, Kadaj.”
“Did I say I wanted one?”
“…But still.”
“Leave me alone!” I ran forward, running my hardest to get away from the she/thing. It was annoying.
“Wha— wait up!” Selphie cried, chasing after.
-/|OW! CRASH.|\-
And this time… Selphie fell on top of me. Today was a horrible day. “GAH! Get off me!”
“But wait…” she whispered, hopping off and fixing her hair and dress again. When she was done, her green orbs looked straight at the ground, and she sighed.
I figured it was my best chance to run. But my legs didn’t respond. I was glued next to the she/thing. …Wonderful.
“No… you can go…” Selphie mumbled. “It… was just a horrible day… I wanted someone to talk to.”
“…”
“…”
“Why me?”
“Because you fell on top of me, and almost killed me, so I thought you could be my friend.”
-/|did that even make sense?|\-
“… Fine. What do you like? Do you like pocky?” I said, smiling for the first time. This… “Selphie” wasn’t too bad.
Her eyes looked up, and she grinned. “Yeah!”
“Alright… then lets go.” I stated, smiling as we walked back to the candy shop.

“I love horrible days!” Selphie burst out, munching on her pocky stick. “Because I met… KADAJ! The … payer!”
I laughed. “Your LUCKY I paid. Did you spend like.. what? Fifty dollars on candy?”
Selphie tucked away her bag, and pretend to faint. “It was more like Seventy-five dollars and forty two cents.”
We both laughed again, arm in arm as we walked through the streets.

ii. […so then I couldn’t go through the swirly vortex of DOOM!...] [so basically your screwed?] […yup, that’s about right.]
SeLPHiE & DEMyX
Something was not right.
Demyx kicked the swirling vortex that sputtered darkness. Blue and Black rays flashed out, and the vortex was no more.
“Wait! Hold on!” Demyx cried, stretching out his arm.
You see, Demyx needed get back to Memory’s Skyscraper. And the only way of transportation that Demyx knew, was his swirly vortex of DOOM.
—But his ‘swirly vortex of doom’ didn’t seem to work.
The vortex had left him in a strange land; covered with palm trees and sand everywhere. A huge tree sat dub smack in the middle of the island, and Demyx could easily see another island full of houses not to far off. But there wasn’t a boat in sight, and Demyx sure as hell wasn’t going to swim there.
“Let’s see…” he said, clocking around slowly and resting his chin on his hand. “Palm tree… shack… another palm tree… huge tree… docks… another friggin’ palm tree… school girl… tree… island…”
-/|wait just a second.|\-
Demyx gasped, going from examining pose to stalking pose. “School girl…?” he stalked right up to her, hiding behind a huge palm tree. She was wearing a traditional school girl outfit, brown hair that curled in an odd way, and emerald colored eyes.
She looked civilized.
Demyx stalked up right behind her, and tapped her on the shoulder. “Hey, um— hi there.”
The girl swirled around, backed up a few steps, whispered something in her pink cell phone, and stared.
Demyx stared too.
-/|this might be what people call awkward…|\-
“…Do j00 spEAk EN-GLI-SH….?” Demyx whispered slowly, using his hands as a guide.
“…I speak perfect English, n00b.” the girl retorted, putting her cell phone away into her yellow bag.
“…”
“…”
“OHMYGAWDS! CIVILIZATION! I HAVE FOUND YOU!” Demyx screamed, hugging a palm tree.
The girl sighed, and kicked Demyx in the leg softly. “Who the heck are you?” she half-asked, half-demanded.
“I’m Demyx!”
“My name’s Selphie.”
“…Nice to meet you!”
“…Yay.”
“…”
“…”
Both teens engaged in their second staring contest. Demyx’s ultramarine locked onto her emerald ones. Stare. Stare.
Demyx blinked, screaming for a second and returning to normal. “So, anyway… I’m stuck here.”
“Uh-huh..” Selphie mumbled as she urged him to go on.
“Okay! So, ohmigawds, I wanna get back home! But the swirly VORTEX of DOOM doesn’t work, meaning it’s mean and doesn’t wanna open for Demyx! So then I tried using it, but then it teleported me here, which wasn’t the place I wanted to go! And now it’s all busted and non-dark-y and Demyx can’t go through the SWIRLY VORTEX OF DOOM anymore.”
“…So basically your screwed?”
“That’s about right.”
“Alright.. uuhh.. don’t panic! I’ll getcha outta here.. First w—“

Selphie paused as she dug into her bag and pulled out her pink cell phone out of her bag and pointed to Demyx. “Sorry, gotta take this! Stay here… and be a good insane-weird-o! It’ll be just a sec.”
Demyx nodded as she turned around, walking a few spaces forward. Demyx then began dancing to “Milkshake” as any normal “insane-weird-o” would do. But just as he was about to do his awesome “disco” move, out popped a swirly vortex of doom and sucked Demyx into it.
-/|I can teach you, but I’d have to charge.|\-
Demyx rubbed his head. “Kyaa, where am I?” he gasped when he found the room entirely white. “Namine’s room!” he gasped in delight as he ran for the door.
“Not so fast, idiot.” Said a voice from the back of the room. Demyx turned around to see Axel and Namine sitting at the long table, surrounded by crayons and paper.
Demyx blinked. “What the—“
“Didn’t you hear Vexion? The teleportation doesn’t work today!” Axel groaned. “To get back home without teleportation…” he started.
Demyx grinned as Namine giggled.
“…All you have to do is click your heels together and say, ‘there’s no place like oblivion’.”

YeLLOW – Selphie one-shot/drabble collection
First w—“

-/|d**n right, it’s better than yours.|\-
Selphie paused as she dug into her bag and pulled out her pink cell phone out of her bag and pointed to Demyx.
FIN.
Notes from theNINJA: && okay, this wasn’t really romantic nor whatever. Selphie actually looked pretty sane here. :oo
But I love Demyx. He’s a horrible bad guy, but he’s a great dude all together.
Milkshake… that song is STUCK IN MY HEAD. RAAWR!
