Mickey and Sora never changed their path. Also, Riku never changed his path. "Ansem" took control of him, and brought him off of his path. Riku simply returned to the path he was following. KH is my life. I've explored every corner of it. Don't tell me to learn about something I already know.

Search more carfuly. The keyblade (of light) was gonna choose Riku. However, on HIS OWN FREE WILL he gave in to the darknesss, leaving Sora w/ keyblade. From there, Magnificlent found him and turned him agaist Sora. AFTERwhich Ansem took hold of him. He broke away, thus choosing twilight afterwards. Light, to darkness, to twilight. The end of CoM Reverse/rebirth: "They blend in you in a way i've never seen before. You've chosen a path i never thought of. And i'd like to walk it with you"-Mickey. End of KH2: Riku:if the worlds are made of light and darkness, let's be the darkness" Sora: Yeah.

Not yet you don't. The reason Riku said "we'll be the darkness" at the end of KH2 was because they were trapped in the Realm of Darkness with no way out. Plus, the others were in the Realm of Light to protect it. Also, in KH, the keyblade had chosen Riku already. However, "Ansem" was at DI, as we saw. Most likely, he convinced Riku into turning to the dark, telling him that it was the only way off the island, thus taking the first step to controling him. Maleficent just continued the process. At the end of CoM, Riku was only on the "Path to Twilight" because there was still darkness left within him. He used it only in order to defeat "Ansem", who was his darkness. By trading from the path to Darkness to Twilight, he took the first step towards coming back to the path of light. Remember that at the end of KH2, Mickey told riku that he "belonged to the darkness no longer."

Ok, game 2, Riku chose to live with the darkness, and blindfolded himslf so he could not see the truth. So he was light, but blindfolded himself so he could dwell in the darkness. And We'll be the darkness, was meaning that the world of the light was safe now, yet the dark still was bad. Ya know?
